Penny Carol Clement

November 9, 1950 - August 3, 2019

Penny Carol Goodnight Clement was born November 9, 1950 in Little Rock Arkansas. She passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Penny was reared and educated in southeast Arkansas. She was a 1968 graduate of Dollarway High School. She also attended UAPB for two years. Although she moved out of the area many years ago, her memory will be cherished by her friends and family who still reside there. Penny had a very giving nature, always tried to help anyone in need, and loved her family fiercely. She once said that her greatest job was being a wife and mother. She always gave 110% at anything she did from taking care of her aging parents, to being a military wife who took care of the children and everything at home, so that her husband could serve his country. She was also one of only three women Terminal Managers for Consolidated Freightways in late 1980’s. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert Horace and Mildred Lee Goodnight, and brother, Horace Wayne Goodnight. Penny is survived by her loving husband of over 49 years, John Noah Clement Sr, who loved and cared for her until the very end and made it possible for her to be at home. Also by a son and daughter in law, John Noah Clement Jr. and Becky of Harrison. Daughter and son in law, Kelley Rae Whitmire and Richard of Hoxie. Penny was so excited to become a grandmother and when Caroline and Emma Claire Whitmire came along, she was so proud of them and enjoyed watching them grow up and accomplish great things. She was definitely one of their biggest cheerleaders and bragged on them every chance she got. She is also survived by her other siblings, Polly Stires, Jane (Larry) Fulton, Larry Goodnight, Peggy (Bill) Ham, Steve Goodnight, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Wednesday August 7th, 2019 at 2P.M. in the Bryan Funeral Home Chapel in Hoxie, with Bro. Jake Geunrich officiating. Interment will follow in Ward Cemetery in Strawberry, Ar. Pallbearers are Everett Clement, Ray Clement, Ronnie Clement, Leonard Goodnight, Philip Garrick, and Richard Whitmire. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M.
