Raymond Andrew Mercer, 70 of Bono, passed away March 19, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born February 13, 1949 in Turrell, son of the late Orville (Tobe) and Ruby Newberry Mercer. He was united in marriage to Patricia Barker on December 31, 2004. He was a Truck Driver, had worked for the Lawrence County Road Department and was of the Baptist belief. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by five brothers, Orville “Bag”, Charles, Harvey, Verlyn “Bub”, and Melvin Mercer. Survivors include his wife, Pat Mercer of the home; five children, Lesa Harmon of Searcy, Joshua Mercer of Pocahontas, Rae (Nick) Steimel of Pocahontas, Melissa (Steve) Quinn of Jonesboro, and Wanda (Tim) Mooney of Jonesboro; ten grandchildren, Angela (Johnny) Walls, Brandon (Samantha) Harmon, Skylar Harmon, Morgan and Elijah Shepherd, Raegan Steimel, Stephen Moore, and Trevor (Jessica) Moore, Preston Mooney, and Lillie Mooney; three great grandchildren, Roland Walls, Craig and Barrett Moore; a brother, Irvin “John” Mercer of Ravenden Springs; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside Service will be Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge with Bro. Nelson Henderson officiating. Pallbearers will be William Dildine, Tim Mooney, Steve Quinn, Stephen Moore, Trevor Moore, and Jerry Barker.
